Spring is Here!

Inspired by the beautiful weather last week I thought I would share with you my latest obsession. The world of interiors is going mad for anything bumble bee. Here are a few of my absolute favourite pieces which encapsulate the trend. Have you guys seen any others? Please help me feed my addiction!!

These napkins are another Sophie Allport design. She uses the fabric for lots of other things (like the Aga covers!) but these really are a great way to work in the bumble bee trend. Check out her website - sophieallportdesign.com

French Farmhouse Kitchens 2

A reader has come to me requesting some images of French Farmhouse style kitchens in order to get her design juices flowing! When a client comes to Moore & Bradfield with a clear style or design in mind, one of the first steps is to create an inspiration board full of interior design images. In the initial meeting we then go through the images, discussing the elements of the style that the client loves and those they don't. Here are some of the images we used...

Bespoke Fabric Noticeboards

I wanted to let you in on my new internet find.

The Noticeboard Company offer a range of fabric memo boards in a mix of colours and sizes, all finished to the same high standard.

I adore the Hens fabric, especially when used for a 'Harrogate' board.

I also adore the 'Basford' design which combines a blackboard area with the standard fabric notice board, perfect for the kitchen!



Whats more they offer a bespoke service where you can select the material used. A current client has just opted for this Susie Watson material, which I think would work perfectly.

Working in Interior Design you often come across a detail or design concept and suddenly, its everywhere you look.

I love this blackboard panel featured on this breakfast room door. Its perfect for little notes or reminders and the kids would love it too.

A friend of mine recently used little hanging blackbaord signs as table numbers at her daughters wedding, how sweet is that!

I'm hoping to feature this somewhere in my own home. Hopefully the little notes left by my other half will be more romantic than 'out of loo roll'...hey, a girl can dream...
